Internet round-up

Anthony Smith has some interesting thoughts on the nature of marriage, especially relevant to the gay marriage debate.

There are some interesting statistics on global military expenditure. It looks like the UK could probably afford to downsize our military quite substantially.

I just found a fairly new blog called God and Politics in the UK.

Something I bookmarked a year ago, but never shared 10 things you may not have known about RBS – the bank that’s 84% owned by the British taxpayer.

Finally, Fox news channel in the US accused the Muppet Movie of having a “liberal bias” (i.e being left-wing). The Muppets held a press conference in response, and I thought Miss Piggy’s comments rather hilarious (Brits should imagine Fox as a TV equivalent of the Daily Mail, only with a much stronger right-wing bias). Thanks for the Link to God and Politics in the UK. I’ve added your site to my list of links. It’s great to see a Christian blog considering these issues.
